I have been doing a bit of stash busting art journaling. I have been using left over papers that I used on other collages and cutting or tearing them into smaller pieces than I usually do to use us more and get rid of them. For example, in the collage above, I used a series of strips of patterned paper fr the collage base.
In the other example below, I used a whole package of Leighhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03756159592454461731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227907946980908916.post-51010123472673559752014-04-27T07:59:00.001-04:002014-04-27T07:59:11.106-04:00Craft Attitude and Me

There are two trips on my horizon. One by car and one by plane. Last month, while spending a week in Florida, my back went completely out, and I could not walk very well. Day one: Jewelry
I am super excited to now be enrolled in an intense journaling class with Ali Edwards. Ali is very well known for her real life journaling and scrapbooking. She is currently teaching 31 Things at Big Picture Classes (I am not certain if registration has closed yet or not).

A page about Santa
I have been very busy keeping up with my 2013 Journal Your Christmas class led by Shimelle. As I mentioned previously, there are daily prompts. Though many scrapbookers enroll in the course and keep Chritstmas scrapbooks, I have been using it to keep a Christmas art journal.
Based on a prompt about wrapping paper, I used some vintage style doggie gift wrap.

One of my addictions is listening to craft-related podcasts. Among my favorites is the Paperclipping Roundtable hosted by Noell Hyman. As promised, I am back to discuss some of my favorite pens for art journaling. Love for a particular pen is pretty personal, I think. For instance, while many paper crafters have a deep devotion for anything Copic Markers manufactures, I do not love them.

From a session with Mindy Lacefield in Lifebook 2013
After being enrolled in one mixed media/art workshop after another, I have begun to have products I enjoy using more than others. For example, I have used many glues and gel mediums like Mod Podge, Liquitex medium, Golden medium, and Deco Art's DecouPage.
